Mission
The Ruff Ruck Challenge is an official 501(c)(3) initiative dedicated to raising funds to provide trained service dogs, at no cost, to U.S. veterans and first responders. We do this through an annual military-inspired ruck march in Muskegon, Michigan, and through year-round fundraising, sponsorships, and community partnerships.
$10,000 = 1 Service Dog
Every $10,000 raised funds the vetting, training, and placement of one service dog — at no cost to the recipient.
Origin
The Ruff Ruck Challenge was born when founder Tony Laskowicz rucked 20 miles live on Facebook to raise money for an employee's service dog that needed life-saving surgery. The community rallied. The dog made it. That single act of service became a mission-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
